Dr. Jeroen Derwall
Assistant Professor of Finance
Jeroen Derwall is assistant professor of Finance at Maastricht University, assistant professor at Tilburg University, and co-founder of ECCE. In addition, he is responsible for executive teaching on portfolio management for the Dutch Financial Analysts Association (VBA). Previously, he was assistant professor of Financial Management at RSM Erasmus University, where he obtained his PhD in Financial Management in 2007. His research experience covers the areas of ESG investing, corporate social responsibility, equity and fixed-income portfolio management, and mutual funds. Jeroen Derwall actively shares his expertise on sustainable investing through workshops for investment practitioners and local governments. His work has been published in international journals, such as the Journal of Banking and Finance and the Financial Analysts Journal. His ESG research has been awarded the 2005 Moskowitz Prize for best quantitative study in the SRI domain, and the 2005 and 2007 European Finance & Sustainability Research Awards.
